ABOUT ME

At a young age, Lucy developed particular skills in field hockey and netball. She went on to play at a reasonably high level in both but stopped to concentrate on her studies.

During her time studying at Loughborough university, she developed a keen interest in rowing. It was then where Lucy really excelled, showing real power and determination to improve dramatically at Nottingham rowing club.

Still currently rowing at NRC, she has competed at events such as Henley, Nottingham Autumn Head, Metropolitan Amateur regatta, Monmouth regatta.

Her current times are:
2k - 6:59.4
5k - 18:33.4

This year Lucy is currently trialing for GB U23’s and has been on their performance program since 2019.

Currently at Loughborough university she is studying sport and exercise science as an undergraduate. She is in her penultimate year (although in 3rd year) as the university have allowed her to spit my final year to pursue my rowing, which means she still has left, which makes her a 2022 candidate. Lucy is on track to receive a 1st degree or 2:1.

Lucy is looking to study something sports related for a masters and particularly enjoys physiology, human performance at environmental extremes as well as aspects of nutrition etc.

Lucy has very high ambitions and hopes to be competing in the Olympics while representing GB.
