ABOUT ME

Liam started playing soccer competitively at a young age for his local team Livingston Boys Club 2005. In 2015 aged 10 he was invited to attend the West Lothian Youth Foundation Development Pod which involved additional weekly training at Livingston FC for 2 years. He progressed to Livingston Boys Club 2004 In 2016, after being approached by several coaches from older age groups.

Liam applied for the  ‘Advanced Skill Centre’ South Eastern Squad, in 2016 where he was successful in his local West Lothian trial and regional trial to gain a place. Their training took place weekly at The Oriam, Scotland’s national performance centre.

Having been noticed while at the Youth Foundation Development Pod, Liam was asked to trial for, and subsequently signed for, Livingston FC Youth Academy 2005 (a professional youth academy in Scotland’s top league) in March 2017 and In March 2018 he progressed to the 2004 squad.

Unfortunately, in August 2018 the Youth Academy folded due to financial problems. Following this Edinburgh City FC Boys Club approached Liam and he has played with them ever since.  Livingston Youth Academy reformed in January 2020 and Liam signed for them again.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this has been postponed indefinitely.

Liam is keen to further his involvement in all aspects of the game and has enrolled in a refereeing course in August 2021 and plans to start his coaching badges after finishing the course.

Liam’s dream is to become a professional soccer player and sees the US college system to be the perfect platform for him to progress with first-class coaching and full-time training, while getting a top education
