ABOUT ME
Chloe started playing football with the Primary school boy's team when aged 6 as at that time there was no girl's team. She was instrumental in helping to set up a girls' team in primary 6. She then continued to play in both teams including interschool festivals and friendly matches.
Chloe was asked to join a newly formed Under 13 team which was later known as Invergordon Girls in 2018. Invergordon Girls had players from 5 different high schools. With Invergordon Girls Chloe trained once a week and played once every weekend. During this time Chloe was also a member of HESA (Highland Elite Sports Academy) where she trained an additional twice a week to improve her fitness and strength. In April 2019 Chloe was awarded HESA Athlete of the Year for displaying commitment and determination throughout the entire year of training.
At the end of 2020, the club formed a close link with Ross County FC becoming a part of their academy set-up and forming a pathway into senior women's football. Chloe is still playing with Ross County, having played under 13, Under 15 and currently Under 16. Chloe trains twice a week on the pitch with an additional strength and conditioning session once a week, she also plays one match on the weekend. During breaks in the season, the team attends tournaments playing against teams from all over Scotland including some international clubs. The team also play occasional friendly matches against teams in higher leagues and age groups.
At Under 13 level, Chloe was awarded Player of the Year. (2019)
At Under 15 level, Chloe was awarded Players Player of the Year. (2020)
In 2020 and 2021 Chloe captained both Invegordon Girls Under 15 and the Ross County Under 16. Whilst Chloe has been at Ross County she has been selected for the North of Scotland Schools Under 15 Team having attended trials at the end of 2021. The following year she was selected for the North of Scotland Regional Performance squad after two rounds of trials. When training with the squad Chloe travelled to Aberdeen every Wednesday night(a journey of 3 hours each way).
During her time in the USA Chloe is hoping to gain more experience in playing with different players and being coached by more experienced coaches. Personally, Chloe would like to experience living with responsibility and freedom whilst getting to play football full-time. Chloe is looking forward to living in another country as coming from a small rural area in the highlands of Scotland this will give her more exposure to different environments. Chloe feels that the USA will be a great way to develop her football ability and talents.
Chloe believes that the college environment in the USA gives her more opportunities to study a variety of subjects she is interested in. She is excited by the prospect of studying and playing in such great facilities with all the support that comes along with them. Chloe would like to expand her knowledge of health, well-being and nutrition as part of her sporting life alongside playing football.
